The device is said to feature a HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor, although rumors are still debating about that. Previous leaks placed the CPU under TSMC’s wing, with a 16 nm production process and clocked up to 2.4 GHz. This one is an octa core setup, with Mali T880 GPU and dual channel LPDDR4 RAM support. Huawei Mate 8 is expected to arrive with a 6 inch Quad HD screen and full metal body.

It will also bring support for a Force Touch-like technology, probably the same one from the 128 GB version of the Huawei Mate S. The device will bring a 20 megapixel main camera and 8 MP front shooter, as well 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, but there will also be a higher end version with 4 GB of RAM and double storage. The higher specced unit will be priced at $612.
