MOVA has presented AstraX, a robotic lawn mower designed to do more than maintain grass. Revealed at IFA 2026, the model adds a multifunction arm with interchangeable attachments, allowing it to identify, pick up and move objects in its path. MOVA says the system could also support tasks such as fruit picking and plant watering.

AstraX uses an AI vision system to recognize obstacles and objects around the garden. The concept expands the role of an autonomous mower into that of a broader garden robot, though MOVA has not detailed which attachments will be offered or when the platform will reach the market.

The company also introduced UltraTrim edge-cutting technology for its mower lineup. UltraTrim 3.0 uses a separate cutting disc to reach a claimed zero-centimeter distance from walls, hedges and other borders. UltraTrim 4.0 adds an extendable, adaptive arm for edge mowing; it is designed to follow uneven terrain, retract when it detects an obstacle, and supports 4 cm, 5 cm and 6 cm cutting-height settings.

Indoors, MOVA showed the T1 Station window-cleaning robot. It uses water heated to as much as 40°C and two spray nozzles, with a navigation system intended to clean window corners and cover glass surfaces methodically. Its station serves as the robot’s battery pack, transport case and safety system, providing up to 110 minutes of operation.

Some of MOVA’s IFA demonstrations remain experimental. The Knot 80 robotic hand has 11 degrees of freedom and 16 joints, and is designed to recognize an object and automatically select an appropriate grasp. TactiPercept combines tactile sensors, LiDAR and RGB cameras in a system that could eventually help robot vacuums avoid impacts and getting stuck without relying on conventional bumper bars.

For pool robots, MOVA also outlined AquaSonar, an ultrasonic communication technology integrated into a station rather than requiring a separate floating beacon. The company says it introduced 22 world-first products and 15 new technologies at the event, with AstraX and its multifunction arm standing out as the clearest indication of its push beyond single-purpose cleaning and garden robots.
