The LG G3 was barely launched and already there’s talk about a LG G3 Prime, one that upgrades the CPU to a Snapdragon 805, apparently. We’ve got a codename to go by, the LG F460L, that packs a Snapdragon 805 chipset, as shown below.

F460L

Of course, a codename doesn’t mean that the phone is 100% real and that it’s coming soon, although Phone Arena seems convinced that we’ll get the LG G3 Prime with Snapdragon 805 in July. The code name of the F460L is Tiger, matching previous rumors and the APQ8084 entry indicates that the F460L will feature a Snapdragon 805 chipset. This means that the LG F460 will use a quad core Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU.

I doubt the fact that LG would risk the sales of the G3 just to launch a new model, that’s basically a slight upgrade of the current flagship. We’ve also heard OnePlus stating recently that the Snapdragon 805 devices will only come in 2015. Odds are that the Galaxy Note 4 will inaugurate the trend this fall…
