Nokia has just announced a brand new music phone, 5530 XpressMusic, a compact device that features a touch interface and the famous scrolling Contacts Bar. The latter allows the user to access 20 contacts directly and the latest conversations and media updates.

The homescreen of the new XpressMusic handset features one touch shortcuts, that grant access to content and social networking sites, like Facebook or MySpace. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic provides 27 hours of playback time, great audio quality and it’s bundled with a 4GB memory card, allowing you store all the music you like.

YouTube and Facebook are also supported and showed perfectly on a clear 2.9 inch widescreen display. You’ll be able to purchase music via the Nokia Music Store directly on your phone or by using a PC. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic runs on GSM/EDGE networks, supports wireless LAN, comes with a “people carousel”, a pop-up Media Bar, support for Ovi Share, Flickr and VOX.

The handset will come with 3 months of free Internet access via Boingo and it’ll retail for 199 EUR starting Q3 2009.
