Palm and Telefonica have just announced that Palm Pre will be hitting Spain on October 14 via Movistar. This webOS smartphone will reach the Spanish carrier with most customers, over 23 million, a pretty impressive feat for the European market.

Palm Pre is even available for free, depending on the plan you’ll choose and we remind you that it features a HVGA touchscreen display and Palm Synergy, a neat system integrating email and communication functions. There’s also a sliding QWERTY keyboard on board, plus support for HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 3 megapixel camera with flash.

8GB of internal memory are also on the specifications list and, as far as we know, Pre is also ready for O2 in the UK, Ireland and Germany, starting October 16.
