Red Magic has opened reservations in China for the Red Magic 12 Pro+, its next gaming flagship, ahead of a launch event scheduled for October 15 at 2:30 p.m. local time. Reservations are available through the company’s official site and JD.com, while the phone’s retail price has not yet been disclosed.
The company has confirmed that the handset will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 processor. A Geekbench 7 listing for a Nubia NX819J, believed to be the Red Magic 12 Pro+, recorded 3,677 points in single-core testing and 12,679 in multi-core testing. Those are pre-release results, but they rank among the highest reported so far for the chipset.
Red Magic is also promising upgraded cooling intended to sustain performance during extended gaming sessions, although it has not detailed the thermal system’s architecture. The company has additionally flagged software changes for day-to-day use.
Compared with the Red Magic 11 Pro+, the new model is said to be lighter, thinner and narrower, with more rounded corners. Its display bezel is claimed to shrink from 1.25 mm to 0.96 mm, while the front camera remains positioned beneath the display to avoid a visible cutout.

- An 8,400 mAh battery
- 120W wired charging
- 80W wireless charging
Those battery and charging figures have not been officially confirmed. In China, a 100-yuan reservation payment is tied to promotional benefits that Red Magic values at up to 4,300 yuan, potentially including a Red Magic Cooler 8 Pro, gaming-related perks, cashback and trade-in incentives. Full specifications and final pricing are expected at the October 15 presentation.
