Samsung may be preparing Galaxy Buds 5 FE wireless earbuds with a stronger focus on audio quality and no major price increase, according to a leak from @kro_roe. SamMobile reports that the earbuds could arrive in the coming months, but Samsung has not confirmed that the model exists.
The leak places the Galaxy Buds 5 FE below KRW 200,000 and suggests sound quality at least comparable to the previous generation of standard Galaxy Buds. SamMobile expects pricing to remain close to the $149 launch price of the Galaxy Buds3 FE, though neither figure has been confirmed by Samsung.
There are no reported details on new drivers, Bluetooth codecs, battery life, design changes or active noise cancellation hardware. For now, the claim of better sound remains a broad leak rather than a technical specification.
The Galaxy Buds3 FE provide a reference point for the expected feature set. Samsung lists the following capabilities for that model:
- Active Noise Cancellation, Ambient mode and 360 Audio
- IP54 dust and water resistance
- Up to six hours of playback with ANC enabled, or up to 24 hours including the charging case
The reported Galaxy Buds 5 FE name would also skip a Buds4 FE generation. Samsung has launched Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro this year, but not a Fan Edition counterpart. The original Galaxy Buds FE arrived in 2023 at $99.99, while later FE earbuds moved higher in both pricing and features. A launch date, regional availability and the final audio hardware remain unknown.
