A recent authorized Steve Jobs biography reveals that the main man at Apple hated Android for its lack of innovations and considered it “grand theft”. He saw the OS as a mistake and was “willing to go thermonuclear war” in order to defeat it, according to the same biography.

At some point Jobs also said that he doesn’t want money from Google, instead he wants the search engine giant to stop ripping off iOS. That’s what he told Eric Schmidt, Google CEO and former Apple board member. The problem still goes on today, with Apple and Google battling it out in court, but not directly.

They’re using proxies such as Samsung or HTC, accused of stealing innovation from Apple or copying it. Meanwhile, Google tries to protect its investment through the dozens of thousands of patents bought from Motorola. I wonder what’s the take of Android fans on this story… I’m sure they’re not happy with it.
