TCL has launched the Tab A1 NXTPAPER in the US, where Amazon lists the 11-inch Android tablet at $229.99. TCL’s own listed price is $249.99, and the NXTPAPER edition distinguishes itself from the standard Tab A1 with its matte display technology plus a bundled T-Pen 2 stylus and flip case.

The tablet uses an 11-inch LCD NXTPAPER 3A Crystal screen with a 2112 x 1320-pixel resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. Its matte surface is paired with TCL’s Color Paper and Ink Paper reading modes. Brightness is rated at 400 nits typically and up to 500 nits in Sunlight Display mode.

TCL includes the T-Pen 2, which supports 4,096 pressure levels, along with a flip cover. The package positions the Tab A1 NXTPAPER around handwriting and reading rather than raw hardware performance, continuing a direction TCL has pursued with earlier NXTPAPER phones and tablets, including the NXTPAPER 11 introduced at MWC 2023.
