Xolo has posted a fresh teaser on its Facebook page, promising to unveil new handsets from the Omega series this Friday, on December 5th. The company also posted a teaser on Twitter, saying “Coming soon. Block your date: 5th December, 2014”. The posting also includes the image shown below.

It reveals the silhouette of a smartphone and mentions the hashtag #TouchOmega. Xolo is not at its first attempt to hype things up, since it also pulled a similar teaser campaign in August, for the announcement of its Hive UI, their custom version of Android. Back then they also unveiled the first Hive UI phone, Xolo 8X-1000. The company launched in India the Xolo Opus 3 last month, a phone priced at an affordable rate and offering midrange specs.

That one was a dual SIM Android 4.4 KitKat model, with 720p 5 inch display and 1 GB of RAM. It also had an 8 megapixel camera at the back, a front 5 MP shooter and a 2500 mAh battery. Considering there’s a special teaser for the Omega series, we’re expecting a higher end experience here, particularly since the name also sounds ominous.
