There aren’t many smartphones out there with 3 GB RAM and a very low price and most of them come from China. Adding to the list is the UMi Rome, that launched today with a price tag of less than $100. It was also up on preorder a few days ago.

This model comes in champagne gold and shine black, plus it packs a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen, making the price tag available here all the more impressive. To top that the screen uses 2.5D Curved glass and the resolution offered here is 720p. Other specs include a 2500 mAh battery, two SIM cards and an octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz.

Upfront we find a 2 MP shooter, while inside rest 16 GB of storage and a LTE modem. Priced at $89, UMi Rome runs Android 5.1 and has a battery pack that should offer a standby time or 6 to 8 days. Keep in mind we’re also getting a main 13 megapixel camera with a Sony IMX179 sensor. Too good to be true? It sure sounds so.
