Google has confirmed a camera-related audio bug affecting Video Boost footage on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL. Some recordings produce intermittent pops and bursts of static, sometimes only seconds apart. The company says it has identified the cause and is preparing a Camera app update for release in the coming weeks, with further optimizations planned in a subsequent monthly Android update.
The confirmed camera issue arrives alongside concerns over sustained Tensor G6 performance. In testing reported by Notebookcheck, the Pixel 11 Pro's GPU scored 414,765 points under artificially cold conditions, but that result fell to 40,362 points after the phone reached 36.7°C. That is below 10% of the maximum score measured in that specific test scenario.
The CPU was less severely affected in that testing, pointing to the PowerVR GPU as the more thermally sensitive component. The figures should not be treated as a measure of everyday performance, but they indicate that the Tensor G6 can sharply reduce graphics output under prolonged load.
Google's new Pixel range also faces a separate hardware durability question. JerryRigEverything broke the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in an extreme bend test at the antenna lines near its hinge, an area that has been a concern on earlier Google foldables. Such a test does not establish that the phone will break during normal pocket use, though it suggests the hinge-adjacent structure remains a potential weak point.
Other reports have raised possible issues involving touch response, scrolling, Wi-Fi, 5G connectivity, battery drain and boot loops, but these do not currently have the same level of confirmation as the Video Boost audio problem. The next Camera app release will be the first confirmed fix to watch for, while it remains unclear whether Google will address the sustained-performance findings through software.
