Acer is relaunching the Packard Bell brand with a lifestyle-focused hardware range that extends well beyond PCs. Unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin, the new Dot collection includes the DotBook laptop, the DotLine 4G feature phone, Bluetooth audio glasses, headphones, peripherals, a portable turntable and the Steasy portable food-heating container.
The 14.5-inch DotBook is the central computing product in the range. It has a 1,920 x 1,200 IPS display, an Intel Core 3 N355 processor, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Packard Bell lists a weight below 1.3kg and battery life of up to seven hours. The laptop is set to start at €499.
Packard Bell is also entering the basic-phone segment with the DotLine, a 4G handset fitted with a 2.8-inch IPS display, 48MB of RAM, 128MB of storage, a 1,800mAh battery and a 2MP camera. Pricing is expected to start at €69.
Other products include the DotLook Bluetooth audio glasses, which use a magnetic removable sunglasses lens and are rated for up to 10 hours of battery life. They will start at €99. The DotBass over-ear headphones are rated for up to 40 hours and will start at €29, while DotCombo keyboards and mice continue the range’s colorful design approach.
The lineup also includes the DotLoop suitcase-style portable turntable with integrated speakers and USB, plus the 10-inch DotShine ring light. Steasy is the most unusual item: a portable container designed to heat food and support scheduled warming, with pricing from €199.
Acer acquired Packard Bell in 2008 and is positioning the revival around the brand’s 100-year origins. The name derives from Leon Packard and Herb Bell, rather than Hewlett-Packard or Alexander Graham Bell. Acer’s new “Tech it easy” branding emphasizes accessible and colorful products across multiple consumer categories.
In Europe, the DotBook, DotLoop, DotLook, DotCombo and DotBass are scheduled to launch in September 2026. DotShine and Steasy are due in October, followed by the DotLine in November. Availability outside Europe has not been detailed.
