Lenovo has expanded its ThinkBook lineup at IFA 2026 with two distinctly positioned 14-inch business laptops: the Snapdragon X2 Plus-powered ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 and the 990g ThinkBook 14x Gen 2. The ARM-based ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 is rated for up to 80 TOPS of on-device AI performance and up to 26 hours of local video playback.
The ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 has a 14-inch WUXGA display rated at 400 nits, with touch-capable configurations available. It uses a metal chassis measuring 17.7 mm thick and weighing 1.3 kg. Lenovo is also positioning it as a Copilot+ PC, with its Qira assistant offering Pay Attention and Catch Me Up features intended to create real-time meeting summaries and surface key points from missed conversations.

Alongside it, the ThinkBook 14x Gen 2 takes the lighter route at 990g and 12.9 mm thick. It runs on Intel Core 7 Series 3 processors rather than ARM silicon, and will be offered with OLED display options or touch LCD panels. Lenovo says the model has a premium metal finish and is optimized for web browsing, everyday work and video conferencing.

The ThinkBook 14x Gen 2 is scheduled to reach Europe in September 2026 from €1,079. Lenovo expects the ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 to follow in October, starting at €1,099. Detailed regional configurations have not yet been specified.
