Xiaomi has introduced the Pocket Guitar, a foldable magnetic accessory for the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max that simulates guitar playing through Bluetooth controls and the Changba karaoke app. Its most distinctive feature on the two phones is support for their secondary rear displays, which can show performance prompts beside the camera module while the accessory is attached.
The accessory folds flat against the back of a phone and is offered in black and red. When opened, it resembles a compact controller rather than a conventional stringed instrument: one section contains chord-selection buttons, while the other has a ridged touch surface designed to mimic strumming.
In Chord mode, users select chords with one hand and strum with the other. Rhythm mode reduces the interaction to keeping time, with Changba handling the chords. On the Xiaomi 18 Pro models, the rear screen can place the relevant instructions directly above the strumming area, avoiding the need to turn the phone over or obscure its main display.
Pocket Guitar can also work with other Xiaomi phones and iPhones running iOS 14 or later through Changba. Those devices display controls and songs on their primary screens, however, leaving the rear-display integration exclusive to Xiaomi’s 18 Pro line. Xiaomi has not confirmed broader availability or pricing, and the accessory’s usefulness outside supported markets will depend heavily on access to the Changba app.
