The REDMAGIC Astra 2 has taken the top spot in AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 multi-core testing, positioning the compact gaming tablet among the fastest Android slates tested so far. Its AnTuTu 11 result reached 3,287,350 points, while its Geekbench 6 multi-core score was 9,736.
The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired here with REDMAGIC’s RedCore R4 gaming chip, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. REDMAGIC also equips it with its AquaCore Cooling System 2.0, combining liquid cooling with a large vapor chamber.
- AnTuTu 12: 3,794,800 points. The result cannot yet be ranked against other devices in the same test database because the Astra 2 is the first model tested there on this benchmark version.
- AnTuTu 11: 3,287,350 points and first place, ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Lenovo Legion Tab 8.8 (2025).
- AnTuTu 10: 2,510,120 points and second place, behind the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra but ahead of the Lenovo Legion Tab 8.8 (2025).
- Geekbench 6 single-core: 1,853 points and sixth place, behind the Lenovo Legion Tab 8.8 (2025).
- Geekbench 6 multi-core: 9,736 points and first place, ahead of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, several Huawei MatePad models and the Lenovo Legion Tab 8.8 (2025).
- 3DMark Wild Life Extreme: 5,887 points and second place, behind the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s 6,401 points. The Lenovo Legion Tab 8.8 (2025) scored 4,988 points.
Sustained performance was less absolute. In the CPU Throttling Test, the Astra 2 retained about 71% of its initial performance, representing a roughly 29% drop from its peak. The Lenovo Legion Tab 8.8 (2025) performed better in that specific measure, although it uses an earlier-generation processor and starts from a lower performance level.
Thermals remained comparatively controlled despite the high benchmark results. Testing recorded 33.4°C during gaming and up to 42.7°C in benchmark workloads, with no sign of runaway overheating reported. The main remaining question is how consistently those peak scores and sustained behavior will translate to longer gaming sessions across final retail software.
