iQOO has confirmed a second compact 8.8-inch gaming tablet, pairing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with its Q3 eSports chip. The as-yet-unnamed device will sit below the iQOO Pad Ultra in the company’s compact tablet lineup, according to early details shared by iQOO product manager Hui Huizi on Weibo.

Hui has positioned the new tablet as a Pro-tier model. iQOO has not confirmed whether it will use active cooling, a feature already associated with the Pad Ultra, which is built around the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
The shared 8.8-inch size and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform place the tablet against Lenovo’s Legion Tab (2026). Lenovo’s model also uses the same chipset and display size, while offering a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a 9,000mAh battery. iQOO has not disclosed equivalent display or battery specifications for its device.
Leaker Digital Chat Station has suggested that iQOO’s two compact tablets will be separated by price in line with their performance differences, but the company has not announced pricing. The commercial name, launch date and availability of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 model also remain unconfirmed.
iQOO is scheduled to introduce the Pad Ultra and iQOO 16 in China on September 29, 2026. It remains unclear whether the smaller Pro-tier tablet will appear at that event or receive a separate launch.
