Motorola has confirmed the Signature 27 for a global launch in 2026, moving its premium phone line to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The handset was shown at Snapdragon Summit and pairs the new chip with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, a quad-camera rear system and an expanded ArcticMesh cooling design.
The processor is a notable step up from the original Motorola Signature, which used Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Motorola is positioning the new platform around on-device AI tasks, more responsive gaming, faster data transfers and improved image processing, though sustained performance will need to wait for independent testing.

ArcticMesh was already part of the previous-generation model, but Motorola says the system has been scaled for the higher-tier chipset. Its combination of liquid metal, copper mesh, thermal gel and the enlarged vapor chamber will be central to whether the Signature 27 can maintain performance under prolonged heavy loads.
The rear camera hardware includes a confirmed 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor alongside the 200MP periscope module. Motorola has not yet detailed the other two rear cameras, the periscope focal length, sensor size or optical specifications. It also says a Video Enhancement Engine can adjust color in real time, while stabilization combines hardware and Snapdragon-based processing.
Motorola is also adding Bang & Olufsen branding to the phone’s audio system. The company has not specified the speaker configuration or the software features associated with the audio tuning.
Design and availability
The Signature 27 adopts a substantially larger rear camera island spanning the upper portion of the back, with four visible lenses. Motorola has announced two finishes: Coal Smoke with a textured Tactical Weave treatment, and Capulet Green with a brushed, textile-like surface.
Motorola says the Signature 27 will reach global markets by the end of 2026, with a North American debut planned in the coming months. A precise retail date, full market list and pricing have not been announced.
Several core specifications remain undisclosed, including the display, memory and storage configurations, battery capacity and charging hardware. Those details—and the camera system’s optical capabilities—are likely to define how directly Motorola can challenge established flagship rivals when the phone receives its full launch.
