A physical Galaxy S27 Ultra dummy built from CAD files circulating online points to a major rear-design change: a high, horizontal camera bar that spans almost the phone’s full width. The layout is reminiscent of the iPhone 18 Pro’s rumored styling, though the nonfunctional mockup can only indicate proportions and component placement—not confirm the final design.
The raised bar appears to contain three cameras rather than the four found on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Rumors indicate Samsung may remove the 3x optical-zoom telephoto, leaving the following reported configuration:
- 200MP main camera
- 50MP ultrawide camera
- 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom

The lenses still protrude above the camera island, creating a two-tier rear surface. Reported dimensions are 163.76 × 78.25 × 7.97 mm, keeping the handset close to the current Ultra model in overall size. The S Pen slot remains on the lower left, alongside the speaker, USB-C port and SIM tray, while the physical buttons stay on the right side.
Moving the cameras upward could also provide more uninterrupted space below the module for magnetic power banks and chargers. Android Headlines says the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera bump can prevent some accessories from sitting correctly when a magnetic case is fitted, potentially contributing to slower charging and higher temperatures. The new dummy appears to leave more clearance, but it does not confirm that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will include built-in Qi2 magnets.
The dummy reportedly sits more steadily on a table than its predecessor, although it can still rock when pressed at the lower-right corner. Its weight differs from that of a finished phone, limiting the comparison. Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series is expected in the first quarter of 2027, with January and February both rumored for an Unpacked event; Android Headlines currently expects a late-February launch, but that timing remains an estimate.
