Samsung’s next Ultra phone could pair a marginally slimmer front design with a more pronounced rear camera assembly. Tipster Ice Universe has claimed that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will have 1.28 mm bezels around its display, down from 1.32 mm on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The 0.04 mm reduction is roughly 3%, so it would likely be a subtle change in everyday use.

The potentially more noticeable change is on the back. The Galaxy S27 Ultra’s camera bump is now said to measure 4.69 mm, compared with roughly 4.5 mm on the current generation and 4.56 mm in earlier CAD-based estimates. Leaked renders have also pointed to a wider rectangular camera island extending across the rear panel.

CAD renders attributed to OnLeaks have previously put the S27 Ultra at 163.76 × 78.25 × 7.97 mm. If accurate, it would be slightly taller, wider and thicker than the S26 Ultra’s body, although its listed thickness does not include the camera protrusion.

Galaxy S26 Ultra (official)163.6 mm78.1 mm7.9 mm

Against the S26 Ultra, the reported S27 Ultra measurements amount to increases of 0.16 mm in height, 0.15 mm in width and 0.07 mm in body thickness. Compared with the S25 Ultra, it would be 0.96 mm taller and 0.65 mm wider, while remaining 0.23 mm thinner before the camera module is considered.

Other rumors link the larger camera assembly to a possible ISOCELL HP6 main sensor in the 1/1.3-inch class and a bulkier optical setup. Samsung is also rumored to be considering a larger battery and an AMOLED panel with an improved version of Privacy Display, a feature intended to reduce side-angle screen visibility. Privacy Display may also reach other Galaxy S27 models.

Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s design, dimensions or hardware. The Galaxy S27 series is currently expected in January or February 2027, leaving the final camera hardware and launch date unresolved.
