Nubia has confirmed an October 15 launch for the Red Magic 12 Pro+, its next gaming flagship. The company’s early teasers focus on a redesigned thermal system that separates processor and battery cooling before routing heat to a chamber served by an integrated fan.

  • One liquid loop is dedicated to heat from the processor.
  • A second loop is designed to dissipate heat generated by the battery.
  • The two paths later merge, sending heat to a ventilation chamber where the built-in fan expels it.

Red Magic has also upgraded the pump that circulates the coolant. Its new dual-crystal mechanism is rated for 130 kPa of pressure, up from 100 kPa on the previous generation, which should enable faster circulation through the system. The phone continues to use an electrically non-conductive fluorinated fluid similar to those used in AI server cooling systems.

The cooling circuit will also be part of the phone’s visual design: RGB illumination follows the liquid path through a dedicated light-guiding system. Nubia additionally promises a thinner, lighter body with more rounded corners, while display bezels are said to shrink from 1.25 mm to 0.96 mm.

Inside, the Red Magic 12 Pro+ will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Nubia has yet to disclose memory and storage configurations, pricing, or market availability, with those details expected at the October 15 announcement.
