Apple is expected to introduce a smart-home hub called HomeView on October 13, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The product is said to pair a touchscreen with Siri-based AI controls, positioning it as a display-equipped home controller rather than a conventional smart speaker.

The reported design recalls the iMac G4: a display attached to an adjustable arm above a hemispherical base. Apple has also reportedly registered trademarks for “HomeView” and “homeOS,” though neither name has been officially announced.

HomeView is expected to use Apple’s A18 processor, the same chip family used in the iPhone 16, alongside a four-core GPU. Gurman expects it to offer better audio than an upcoming HomePod mini, while the screen would provide touch input in addition to Siri interaction.

  • A tabletop version is expected in silver, gray, blue and pink.
  • A wall-mounted version is said to be limited to silver and gray.

At launch, HomeView may be restricted to preinstalled apps such as Music, with no support for installing third-party applications. Preorders could reportedly begin as soon as the announcement date, while deliveries are expected around mid-November. Apple has yet to confirm the product name, specifications, pricing or market availability.
