Samsung may be planning a major redesign for One UI 10, with leaker Ice Universe indicating that the software could arrive alongside the Galaxy Z Fold9. If Samsung follows its usual foldable launch cadence, that would place the debut in summer 2027.

The leaker says a source described the One UI 10 changes as unprecedented, but did not provide screenshots or a feature list. The claim also does not establish when existing Galaxy devices might receive the update.

A separate rumor has suggested Samsung could eventually replace the One UI name with Galaxy OS and launch it with the Galaxy S28 in 2028. Ice Universe’s claim concerns the scope of One UI 10 changes and a possible Fold9 debut; it does not corroborate the Galaxy OS branding rumor.

Samsung’s Fluid AI Design System, a design concept introduced in July, offers one possible indication of the direction its interface work could take. The concept focuses on surfacing relevant controls and information together rather than requiring users to move among several apps for a single task.

  • Dynamic cards that change their size and content based on context.
  • Combined information from multiple services, such as a meeting time, attendees and directions to the venue.
  • Suggested actions presented at the relevant moment to reduce navigation through menus and apps.

For example, a system that connects an address from a conversation with a calendar appointment and mapping directions could reduce the steps needed to prepare for a meeting. However, Fluid AI remains a design concept, and Samsung has not confirmed that it will be part of the final One UI 10 release. The first concrete details to watch for are Samsung’s own software roadmap and evidence of what, if anything, will ship on the Galaxy Z Fold9.
