vivo could launch the X500 Ultra in China in March or April 2027, according to a leak from Digital Chat Station. The device is tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, setting it apart from the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro-powered X500 Pro Max. The same report indicates that the Ultra model may remain exclusive to China.
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset from Qualcomm.
- 6.85-inch OLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
- A BOE-supplied panel with symmetrical bezels, rounded corners and an under-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The reported 6.85-inch screen would be slightly larger than the 6.82-inch panel cited for the current vivo X300 Ultra. vivo’s apparent preference for a BOE display is also notable, as the iQOO 16—positioned below the Ultra line in the company’s portfolio—already uses Samsung’s M16 OLED panel.
vivo launched the X500 series in China last month, with the X500 Pro Max currently at the top of that lineup. Pro and Pro Max versions are expected to reach Europe, but the leaked Ultra model’s wider international availability has not been confirmed. Its launch timing, hardware and regional plans remain unverified until vivo provides official details.
