Huawei could unveil its next flagship book-style foldable, the Mate X8, in late November, according to a Weibo leak. The company has not confirmed a launch date, but the device is rumored to pair a larger 8.15-inch internal display with a battery capacity exceeding 6,000 mAh and 100W wired charging.

The report comes from tipster @SuperDimensional, who also says Huawei may introduce its Xingyao, or Star Shine, sub-brand around the same time, potentially at the same event. The Mate X8 had reportedly been expected alongside the Mate 90 series, which launched earlier than anticipated. Huawei introduced the previous Mate X7 in China on November 26, 2025, making another late-November announcement plausible, though not confirmed.

  • A 6.5-inch external display and an 8.15-inch foldable internal panel, both said to be larger than those on the Mate X7.
  • A hardware-level Privacy Screen feature similar to the one used on the Mate XT 2, intended to limit off-angle viewing of on-screen content.
  • A rear camera system retaining three 50-megapixel cameras, with a potentially new main sensor.
  • A battery rated above 6,000 mAh, alongside support for 100W wired fast charging.
  • Either Huawei’s Kirin 9050 or Kirin 9050 Pro chipset.
