Apple appears to be preparing product news for October 28, with reports pointing to a potentially significant MacBook Pro redesign featuring an OLED touchscreen. The rumored lineup also includes an OLED iPad mini and new Apple Silicon M6 devices.

Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of worldwide marketing

Joswiak’s wording places particular emphasis on “Pro,” suggesting that professional-focused hardware may be central to the announcement. Apple has not formally detailed the products, however, and the reported specifications remain unconfirmed.

  • A MacBook Pro said to pair an OLED display with touch capability.
  • An entry-level MacBook Pro powered by Apple’s M6 chip.
  • An updated iMac using the M6 chip.
  • An iPad mini expected to move to an OLED panel.

Rather than a conventional livestreamed event, Apple has reportedly invited members of the press and influencers to an in-person briefing in Los Angeles. The company could issue product announcements earlier, with hands-on coverage expected to begin on October 28.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has indicated that commercial sales could begin on November 6. It remains unclear whether every reported device would reach the market at the same time, or how Apple would implement touch input on its first touchscreen MacBook Pro.
