Apple could introduce its first touchscreen MacBook at a second October event, potentially on October 27, according to a Bloomberg report. The company is already scheduled to hold a separate presentation on October 13 for new smart-home products, while the late-month event and its reported lineup remain unconfirmed by Apple.

Mark Gurman reports that the touchscreen MacBook would pair an OLED display with a substantially lighter design, a cutout area resembling the iPhone's Dynamic Island and a next-generation processor. If it arrives, it would mark Apple's first MacBook with touch input integrated into its display.

  • Touchscreen MacBook: reportedly set to use an OLED panel, a lighter chassis, a Dynamic Island-style display area and a next-generation processor.
  • iPad mini: rumored to gain an OLED display, 8GB of RAM and either an A18 or A19 chip, while retaining its current design. The model is expected to cost more than $600.
  • MacBook Pro: also said to be under consideration for an M6 processor update.
  • iMac: reportedly another possible recipient of Apple’s M6 chip.

The OLED iPad mini would be a notable upgrade for Apple's smallest tablet, but neither its final processor nor its price has been confirmed. Apple's plans for an October 27 event, including whether the touchscreen MacBook is ready to debut, are the key details still to be settled.
