Alcatel has just unveiled two new smartphones, that both appeared quietly on their maker’s site, without a big fuss about their debut. The newcomers are the Alcatel One Touch Idol S and the Idol Mini, that you can check out below.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol S features a 4.7 inch IPS HD display with a 720p resolution and a dual core 1.2 GHz processor. Other specs include 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 1.3 megapixel camera at the front and 8 megapixel rear cam. The Idol S also comes with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Android 4.2.

The device will be available in slate, fresh rose and cherry red. The Idol Mini is a 4.3 inch FWVGA display packing phone with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and it comes with a dual core 1.3 GHz CPU, paired with 512 MB of RAM. It will have 4 GB of storage in its single SIM version or 8 GB of storage in the dual SIM one, but both will have a microSD card slot for extra storage.

The Idol Mini will pack WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, plus a 5 MP back camera and front VGA.
