Archos showcased at the end of 2014 the 50 Diamond handset and then showed it once again at CES 2015 in January. The device is only now ready for availability and it will hit the stores in mid March, priced at 199 euros.

We’re dealing with an affordable midrange model, with a plastic case and colourful body. The unit relies on a 5 inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core 1.5 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot and 16 MP back camera. There’s an 8 MP selfie shooter and the design seems to be pretty slim.

Archos 50 diamond packs a 2700 mAh battery, measures 8 mm in thickness and frankly speaking the price sounds too good for the specs. It could be that the price tag is listed without taxes. From what I see there’s no software modifications and you get a stock experience.
