We reported enthusiastically about the ZenFone 2 with 128 GB of storage when it debuted a few weeks ago, but ASUS is determined to stun us even more. That’s why they debuted a ZenFone 2 with 256 GB of storage.

The product launch happened in Brazil, so you can forget about the microSD card slot totally. ASUS unveiled a Deluxe Special Edition of the ZenFone 2 in the South American country and the handset is pictured above. Buyers can pick between carbon fiber or crystal-like backs instead of the regular handset shells. The special edition will hit the Brazilian stores in September and we have no intel on it reaching other countries.

Other than that I’m sure the best of the specs are kept, including 13 megapixel back camera, 4 GB of RAM and 5.5 inch Full HD screen. It will be interesting to see if the CPU is an Intel or a Snapdragon. There’s only one reason I can imagine having so much storage on a handset: you go to concerts a lot and you film everything you see.
