It’s raining tablets these days, with CES 2011 just hours away from kick-off and ASUS is not the brand to stay away from the hype. They’ve just announced an Android 3.0 slate dubbed Eee Pad MeMO, that you can see for yourselves after the break. This device reminds us a bit of Microsoft Courier, a slate project that was canned a while ago.

ASUS Eee Pad MeMO comes with a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8260 CPU, dual cameras, a Stereo Bluetooth accessory for phone calls and a stylus. There’s a 1.2MP cam upfront and a 5MP camera at the rear of the MeMO complete with LED flash. The stylus we mentioned is a capacitive one, ideal for note taking (together with the app Media Note) and drawing (working together with the app Painter).

The stereo Bluetooth headset bundled with the tablet is called MeMic and it turns the device into a smartphone of sorts, due to its phone-like experience. Pricing is $499 and debut is scheduled for June.
