ASUS has unveiled the Googlebook 14, a lightweight 14-inch laptop designed around Googlebook OS and Gemini Intelligence. The magnesium-aluminum machine starts at 0.99 kg and measures 10.9 mm at its thinnest point, while offering an OLED touch display, Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Android integration.
The laptop uses a 14-inch, 16:10 OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and up to 1,000 nits of HDR brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. ASUS says the CNC-machined chassis has a Nano Ceramic treatment and has been tested to the MIL-STD 810H standard.

Gemini is central to the software experience. ASUS says Magic Pointer lets users select an on-screen item and ask Gemini for information, comparisons or generated content. The system can also provide proactive suggestions based on what is displayed.
Android integration is intended to let users continue tasks started on a phone and display mobile apps on the laptop screen when using compatible devices. ASUS will include 12 months of Google AI Pro with the laptop, providing expanded access to Gemini, Flow and Gemini Notebook, Gemini features in Google apps, and 5TB of cloud storage.
ASUS has not disclosed pricing for any Googlebook 14 configuration or confirmed a commercial release date. Those details will determine how the Gemini-focused laptop is positioned against other premium ultraportables.
