HONOR’s Life S3 is a 61g pocket E-Ink reader designed as a companion for the back of a smartphone. It combines a 3.68-inch display with up to a week of typical use, positioning it as a far smaller alternative to a conventional dedicated e-reader rather than a direct replacement for one.
The device is 5.6mm thick and uses a 259ppi E-Ink touchscreen with soft lighting. HONOR has added matte glass over the display, aiming for a more paper-like surface. There are no physical navigation keys; page turns are handled through the touchscreen.
HONOR rates the Life S3 for up to 30 hours of continuous reading, around one week of normal use, or as much as 20 days on standby. It runs an RTOS and can receive books wirelessly through the HONOR Smart Space app. A TF card slot supports storage expansion up to 1TB.

The Life S3 has been announced in China at 399 yuan, or roughly US$60. HONOR has not confirmed wider international availability, and the small display size will be the key question for a product intended to make reading more portable without adding a full-sized e-reader to a bag.
