Coolpad X7 has been unveiled in China, as a brand new smartphone with a premium design, that involves a dual side of glass and aluminum frame. The newcomer is priced at $255 and it’s supposed to have been inspired by the Louvre glass pyramid.
The handset measures 6.45 mm in thickness, so it’s slimmer than the iPhone 6, for example. The X7 packs a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen and a 2.3 GHz MediaTek MT6595 processor, as well as 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s a front 8 MP selfie camera and a rear 13 MP shooter with F/1.8 aperture, with 28 mm wide angle lens. This unit opts for a nano SIM card slot and a microSD card slot, with support for up to 128 GB of storage.
Coolpad X7 runs Android 4.4.2 with Cool UI 6.0 applied on top. It supports both 3G and 4G connectivity and there are two versions of this model, one with the MediaTek CPU and one with a Snapdragon 801 chip. There is also a dual 4G version in the mix, apparently. This model feels a lot like an ultraslim Gionee unit, probably because of the waistline.
