If you’re into customized ROMs, Cyanogen has goodies for you. CyanogenMod has reached version 7 and this ROM build is the most solid version of Gingerbread available right now, no matter what smartphone you’re using. Among the supported units we must mention myTouch Slide, Nexus One, HTC EVO 4G, Desire models, Droid Incredible and HTC Legend.

myTouch 4G and G2 will soon get their share of the software and you can find CyanogenMod 7 right here, if you’re willing to take the plunge and use modified software. Expect the usual features of Gingerbread to be available, so there’s no mysterious changelog here.

You get game development enhancement, NFC if it’s the case, UI updates, faster text input and selection, new audio effects, improved VOIP, power management and control over apps. Core libraries have also been improved and there’s a new app for Downloads.
