Enough Phone has launched on Kickstarter with a 5.3-inch smartphone built around a feature now rare in modern handsets: a battery that owners can replace at home. The roughly 3,500mAh pack is accessed by removing four screws, while the phone also targets buyers who want a smaller 5G device without stepping down to basic-phone hardware.

The campaign’s US$399 Super Early Bird tier has sold out. Enough is currently offering an Early Bird package for US$449, including a case, pre-applied screen protector, USB-C cable, USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter, hex screwdriver and a set of green replacement screws. The company’s stated retail target is US$599.

Enough Phone measures 133 × 64 × approximately 12mm and uses a 5.3-inch LCD with a 1520 × 720 resolution. Its proposed hardware configuration includes the following:

  • 5.3-inch LCD display with 1520 × 720 resolution
  • MediaTek Dimensity 7500 processor
  • 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage
  • microSD card slot
  • Approximately 3,500mAh removable battery
  • 50MP Sony IMX766 camera and 32MP selfie camera
  • 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, eSIM and a physical SIM slot
  • Fingerprint reader integrated into the power button

Software will be another point of differentiation. Buyers will be able to choose Android 17 or OdysseyOS, an operating system developed by SLEKE that supports MicroG for users seeking less reliance on Google services. Enough says it plans security updates through 2032, although it notes that update timing will also depend on Google and hardware-platform suppliers.

The repairable design comes with trade-offs. Enough says wireless charging is not included, water-resistance certification is still being tested, and the final battery capacity has not been fully finalized. The phone remains a pre-production project, despite the company saying that most specifications have been set.

Enough expects its first functional units in December 2026, followed by mass production in April 2027 and initial deliveries in May 2027. The device enters a compact-phone segment largely left behind by major brands; Apple’s discontinued iPhone 13 mini, for example, had a 5.4-inch display. Whether Enough can turn its prototype and crowdfunding schedule into a finished product will become clearer when those first functional units are due later this year.
