From the latest leaks arrived on the web a couple of days ago we found out that Gionee plans to launch another smartphone on December 21st, one called Marathon M5 Plus. However, until then the Chinese company decided to out a different phone today, and that one is called Marathon M5 Lite, a 5-inch device that comes with mid-range specs.
Well, this phone comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels), with a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, and also with 1 GB of RAM memory. Inside we have a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 8-megapixel front-facing sensor, 4G LTE connectivity and dual-SIM support.
There’s 32 GB space of internal storage + microSD card slot up to 128 GB, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system alongside with the Amigo UI 3.0 custom interface applied on top. Gionee Marathon M5 Plus brings a 4000 mAh battery, unit that promises up to 40 hours of talk time or 39 days of standby time.
In spite of the big battery, this phone keeps a 8.5 mm thin body. Also, just like the Marathone M5, we get a pretty interesting feature that allows us to charge another device through a dedicated USB cable. As for the price, Gionee Marathon M5 Lite costs just $154 in China.
