In the middle of November, Gionee announced a new smartphone device called Gionee S6. This one arrived in a slim case with some pretty interesting specs like an USB Type-C port and 3 GB of RAM memory. From the Chinese Authority TENAA, we get to know that Gionee is working on a Lite variant for this device, one that will bring a smaller 5 inch panel.

Gionee S6 Lite (GN5001S) offers a 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

We get to know that Gionee S6 Lite will arrive in a 6.5 mm thin body, one made out of metal and available in gold or black. As the regular 5.5-inch Gionee S6 is currently priced at $270, we might see a $160 – $170 price tag for this Lite variant.
