While some people are playing with the Android 2.1 ROM on the European version of HTC Hero, we found out that the 2.0.1 version of the software will be available soon as an “Over the Air” update option. Said piece of software includes a fix for autofocus issues and enhances call reception.

Android 2.0.1 will also come with a “Sync Tester” option for developers, allowing them to check third party sync adapters. Android Market will be updated as well, with a new carrier billing option and the ability to purchase apps by using the operators’ computers.
