Fitbit Edge is expected to sit between the screen-free Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch 5 in Google’s wearable lineup, combining fitness-band proportions with a touchscreen and connected health features. The teaser confirms neither full specifications nor pricing.
Previously reported specifications point to a 17.7-gram device with a 1.34-inch AMOLED touchscreen and Always-On Display support. Its expected hardware and health features include:
- An ECG sensor and atrial fibrillation monitoring
- Built-in GPS, an altitude sensor and a skin-temperature sensor
- IP68 water resistance
- A user-replaceable battery
- Up to seven days of typical battery life, or two days with Always-On Display enabled
- Fast charging rated to provide up to 24 hours of use from a five-minute charge
The band is also said to support both Android and iOS. A price of about €179 has been rumored, but Google has not confirmed pricing, launch markets or regional availability ahead of the October event.
