Google has just announced the mobile version of Gmail, now gone 2.0 for J2ME and BlackBerry phones. The software engineers tried to recreate the entire client, in order to push the processing to the background and improve caching. Among the features of mobile Gmail 2.0 there’s the multiple accounts management that allows you to switch between Gmail and Google Apps in an instant and with ease plus the ability of saving multiple email drafts.

Also, Gmail for mobile 2.0 comes with powerful shortcut keys, available if you own a phone with a QWERTY keypad and basic offline support (compose emails and read those from your inbox in offline mode).
