Last time we heard about Helio Ocean 2, it was using Britney Spears’ latest tour as a promotional campaign, with the aid of Virgin Mobile. The device is now official and it’ll be available for $149 starting February 12th.

Let us refresh your memory by mentioning the specs of Ocean 2: a 2.6 inch QVGA screen with a 320 x 240 pixels resolution, 3G support, a 2 megapixel camera with support for video recording, GPS with Google Maps, geotagging support and a 3.5 mm headphones jack. The new Helio handset uses a dual sliding mechanism that makes the numeric keypad and QWERTY keyboard easily accessible.

Ocean 2 is bundled with a 512 MB memory card and it packs a microSD slot for much more storage. As far as software is concerned, you’ll get the phone with a pre-installed media player, email client, social networking software and much more.
