HONOR may extend its external teleconverter system to the upcoming HONOR 700 series, according to leaker Digital Chat Station. Both the standard HONOR 700 and HONOR 700 Pro are said to support a 200mm accessory previously associated with the Magic9 line, potentially bringing a dedicated optical reach accessory to a lower-tier product family.
The reported Magic9 teleconverter delivers a 200mm equivalent focal length and is said to weigh 88 grams while measuring roughly 81mm long. It attaches over the phone’s camera system to provide tighter framing of distant subjects without relying solely on digital cropping. A larger 500mm accessory is also associated with the Magic9 family.
Other reported HONOR 700-series hardware details remain less settled. The phones are expected to have medium-sized displays with narrow bezels, alongside a rear secondary screen of around 1.7 inches. Reports conflict on that panel’s design: one describes it as detachable, while others indicate that it would be integrated into the handset. Its proposed AI functions have not been detailed.
The standard HONOR 700 is rumored to use a Snapdragon chip from the previous generation, while the Pro model could receive the chip identified in reports as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. A November unveiling has been rumored, but HONOR has not confirmed the launch date, final specifications, the rear-screen design, or teleconverter compatibility.
