HP’s 2026 OmniBook 5 14 will start at $699.99, bringing an OLED panel to even its entry-level configuration. The base model combines an Intel Core 5 315 processor from the Wildcat Lake family with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

The 14-inch laptop starts at roughly 1.16kg and measures as little as 11.7mm thick. HP says it is slightly thinner and lighter than Apple’s MacBook Neo, while offering color options in silver, pink, blue, and green. The lid also uses HP’s simplified logo, a design element more commonly associated with its higher-end machines.

  • The standard non-touch OLED display has a 1,920 × 1,200 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and peak brightness of 300 nits.
  • A touchscreen version is scheduled to arrive in October.
  • A higher-spec OLED option with 2,560 × 1,600 resolution and 400 nits of peak brightness is not due until March 2027.

Higher-end configurations will scale up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Across the lineup, HP includes a 1080p webcam, dual speakers, HDMI output, a 3.5mm audio jack, and two USB-C ports with speeds of up to 10Gbps.

The OmniBook 5 14 joins a broader HP laptop push that also includes OmniBook models with RTX Spark configurations, while HP has separately announced its first Googlebook. The key remaining launch detail is how the October touchscreen model and the March 2027 higher-resolution option will be priced.
