HP has unveiled the OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14, its first laptops built around NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform. The new machines are positioned for local AI processing, combining RTX graphics, AI acceleration and unified memory rather than relying entirely on cloud-based services.
The OmniBook Ultra 16 is the higher-end model, aimed at developers, creators and users running local open-source or open-weight AI models. HP says top configurations offer up to 128GB of unified memory and as much as 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance, resources intended for increasingly large on-device models and multi-step AI agent workflows.

HP’s AI-agent focus refers to software that can carry out multi-step tasks and automate parts of a workflow. RTX Spark is meant to shift more of that work onto the PC itself, allowing local processing instead of requiring every operation to pass through a cloud service.
The OmniBook X 14 takes the same RTX Spark and local-AI direction into a more portable chassis. HP has not detailed its memory capacity or AI-performance ceiling, but says the model retains RTX graphics and support for personal AI agents while targeting a thinner, lighter design.

HP also plans an RTX Spark-powered OmniDesk desktop for longer-running AI tasks and agents that can continue operating while the user is away. Full specifications for that system have not yet been announced, and HP has not provided launch timing or pricing for any of the new RTX Spark products.
