Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K100 in China with a 10,000mAh battery, placing endurance at the center of a phone that also pairs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform with a 165Hz OLED screen and 100W wired charging. The device is positioned for sustained gaming, with a dedicated Xiaomi D2 chip for game upscaling and frame interpolation, plus a large cooling system.

The Redmi K100 starts at 3,499 yuan in China. Preorders are open, and Xiaomi says retail sales will begin on October 31.

  • 12GB RAM and 256GB storage: 3,499 yuan
  • 12GB RAM and 512GB storage: 4,099 yuan
  • 16GB RAM and 512GB storage: 4,499 yuan

Redmi rates the 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery for up to 2.43 days of use, although that figure is the company’s own estimate. The phone supports 100W wired charging, 27W reverse charging and bypass charging, which can power the handset directly during longer gaming sessions without continually charging and discharging the battery.

Redmi says the K100 can run more than 40 games natively at 165 fps and apply frame interpolation in more than 100 compatible titles. Those claims depend on game support and do not mean every title will maintain 165 fps, but they underline the role of the D2 chip, the high-refresh display and the cooling hardware in the device’s design.

The base K100 arrives two months after the Redmi K100 Pro Max, but carries a larger battery than its higher-end sibling: 10,000mAh versus 9,070mAh. It makes trade-offs elsewhere, using the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite and omitting a telephoto camera. The K100 Pro Max is described as offering a 200MP sensor and a 5x periscope camera.

Xiaomi has not announced international availability for the Redmi K100. Earlier speculation pointed to a possible POCO rebrand, but that scenario remains unconfirmed.
