Motorola has begun teasing the RAZR Wide Fold, a foldable handset that appears to introduce a wider-format design to the company’s lineup. An official post on X also alludes to Apple’s expected iPhone Duo, placing Motorola in the growing race for alternatives to conventional book-style foldables.
The teaser offers only a limited look at the device, but appears to show a thicker body than typical foldables, flat sides and a pill-shaped rear camera housing. Motorola has not confirmed specifications, launch timing or regional availability for the RAZR Wide Fold.
The model would broaden Motorola’s foldable strategy beyond its clamshell Razr phones and the RAZR Fold. The company previously demonstrated the rollable Motorola RIZR, although that device remained a concept rather than reaching commercial release.
Motorola introduced the RAZR Fold at CES 2026 before its subsequent release. That model uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and carries three 50-megapixel cameras, drawing on the camera hardware used in Motorola’s Signature line.
Camera configuration will be one of the key unanswered details for the Wide Fold, as will Motorola’s plan for positioning it against the next wave of wider foldable phones.
