We’ve heard about HTC Obsession before, but HTC Diamond3 was only a nice dream for Touch Diamond fans till now. Turns out that the two devices are one and the same and they’ll be available later in the year, via AT&T and T-Mobile USA.

This 3.7 inch AMOLED smartphone is supposed to ship in June 2010, apparently with Windows Mobile 7, running on top of a Qualcomm QSD8250 1GHz CPU. The specs list of this promising device includes 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and support for HD 720p video recording @ 25 fps.

The above-mentioned screen supports multitouch and the phone also features a 1230 mAh battery, providing 10 hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time. We also found out that the phone won’t be released in a CDMA version, because of the poor sales of the last Diamond.
