Huawei is expanding its portofolio, or better said its local portofolio, by debuting the Huawei Nova Lite model in Japan. The device is a 5.2 incher, that keeps some of the traits of the Nova series, but also adds its own twist to the product.

The device was already available in China, but under a different name, Huawei Honor 8 Lite. We’re dealing with a device that relies on an IPS screen panel with a Full HD resolution, plus an octa core HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor, clocked at 2.1 GHz and accompanied by 3 GB of RAM. There’s 16 GB of storage available here, plus a microSD card slot with support for up to 128 GB.

Huawei Nova Lite packs an 8 megapixel front camera, plus a 12 megapixel main shooter, as well as a 3000 mAh battery. There’s a fingerprint scanner at the back and the OS of choice is Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI on top. This is a dual SIM machine with support for 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi b/g/n. Sales start in Japan on February 24th and availability comes in the hues white, black and gold.
