Huawei has teased the Router X2 Pro, a vertically oriented Wi-Fi router designed to blend into a bookshelf rather than stand out as network hardware. Images shared by He Gang, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business, show the device positioned between books, with a brown textured exterior and proportions resembling a hardback volume.
The teaser, posted on October 19, challenged viewers to find the new device in photos of book-filled shelves and indicated that the answer would be revealed on October 20. The visible design is the main confirmed detail so far; Huawei has not disclosed the router’s Wi-Fi standard, wireless speeds, Ethernet ports, mesh capabilities or internal hardware.

The X2 Pro name would place the product between Huawei’s existing Router X1 Pro and Router X3 Pro models. Huawei has previously explored more decorative networking equipment with the WiFi Mesh X3 Pro, which uses a snow-capped mountain-inspired enclosure, ambient lighting and dual-band Wi-Fi 7 rated for combined theoretical speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps.

Huawei has yet to confirm a commercial release date, price or regional availability for the Router X2 Pro. Those details, along with its position in the company’s router lineup, remain dependent on the full product announcement.
